REGISTRATION
What is the last registration day for the Košice Peace Marathon (KPM)?
The last registration day is the day before marathon (Saturday). It won't be possible to register or pick up your bib on Sunday. However, Entry fee is increasing, for best prices enter early. You should also consider that on 15 Sept we are printing the Bulletin with the list of participants up to that day. So if you register yourself later it means that you will not find your name in the bulletin's start list, but you will stil be on the official start list.
I sent my Entry form for the KPM, paid the Entry fee, but I didn't receive any confirmation of registration.
We do not send any confirmations of the registration. You will be able to find a list of registered runners, updated weekly at our internet page, where you can find out if we have received your Entry form and payment of entry fee.

What if I register for the KPM and pay the Entry fee, but due to health problems I cannot come to participate?
Marathon Club can transfer your Entry fee to the next KPM, upon your appeal and a confirmation from a medical doctor.

If I am less than 18 years old, can I participate in the KPM?
We are sorry, but participants less than 18 years old are not allowed to participate in any of the KPM running categories. It is not possible according to the Rules of the Athletics and the Organizing Committee also decided so because of the safety reasons. Participation of the in-line skaters younger than 18 years is allowed only for the ones registered in the sports club. These competitors have to submit written consents of their legal representative and the relevant sports club. Participation of the in-line skaters younger than 16 years is strictly forbidden.
If we are coming to the KPM as a group, can we pay the Entry fee together by one bank transfer or by one credit card?
Yes, it is possible; just write a list of runners as a note at the bank transfer order, so that we can clearly identify paying participants.
Can I change my registration from the marathon to the halfmarathon and vice versa?
Yes, it is possible.

BIB NUMBER PICK UP
What should I do after arriving to Košice?
You need to come to the KPM Expo to pick up your bib number, chip, ticket for the Pasta Party and a welcome bag. You will also get the Final instructions concerning the race day.
How will I get to the Expo?
You will reach the Námestie Osloboditeľov (near the hotel Doubletree by Hiltom) and in the middle of the Main street (Hlavná ulica) approximately 200 m from Hotel Slovan you will see entrance to the underground Archeological museum. It will be marked clearly.
May someone else pick up my race number for me?
Yes, upon a confirmation written and signed by you, including you ID card number.
What should I have at the pick up desk with me?
Your ID card or passport and a confirmation of the Entry fee payment
Do I have to get some health certificate?
We do not ask the health certificates from participants. When filling the Entry form you confirm that you participate in the KPM at your own risk. Anyway we advise you to consult your physician before participating in such a challenging race.
What happens if I don't finish the race within the time limit?
You should get away from the race course.

What is the time limit for the halfmarathon?
The time limit is generally the same as for the marathon; you should finish it in 6 hours.
How is the weather during the KPM mostly?
It is mostly partially cloudy, 10-15 °C

If I want to take part in the in-line skater's 20 KM, is it really necessary for me to have a helmet?
Yes, you must wear a helmet; it is just good for your safety.
What if it will rain on Sunday morning?
At 8 o'clock Sunday morning the in-line skater's commission will meet and decide if the start of in-line skaters is possible. Skaters mostly say that it is o.k. to skate in the little rain. Anyway if weather conditions will be really bad, you will be able to take part in the halfmarathon as runner. Entry fee will not be refundable.
What if I don't pick up my chip?
Your time will not be measured and you will not find your name in the official results.

What if I forget to return the chip?
You can still send it by post to the Marathon Club.

Where can I see my result?
Results will be published at our web site.
How can I get to the start?
A shuttle will be arranged from hostel at Medická street to the cloakrooms at the Indoor swimming pool. If you are not accommodated at the hostel Medická, you can get to the cloakrooms by tram No. 2, 3 or 6 (tram stop "Krytá plaváreň"). It is better to come by tram than by car, because traffic will be closed during the race till 3 p.m.

How would I know if I am eligible for the Prize money?
You can find the preliminary results in the finish area or you can come to ask at the Race Office in the Hotel Doubletree by Hilton, just next to the finish area.
Where should I go and what should I do, to get the Prize money?
Come to the Race Office in the hotel Doubletree by Hilton, and don't forget to take your passport with you.
Do I have to stay at the students hostel?
No, this is just an offer from us; you can arrange your stay in any of the hotels according to your own wish at your own expenses.

What is the accommodation price in the students hostel?
Price of the hostel accommodationis is approximately 9 or 10 €.
What is the Pasta Party?
Pasta Party is special occasion where all runners and organizers can meet, have a meal, some soft drinks and beer. It is held in the Spolocensky pavilon. It is free for registered runners.
I want to participate in the Minimarathon, what should I do?
You will fill up the online Entry form. Entry fee can be paid only cash after your arrival to Košice. On Friday or Saturday before marathon you will come to the Expo to pick up your race number and all final information concerning the race day.

Can one adult accompany more than one child under 12?
Yes
Can my child take part in the Minimarathon skating or cycling?
It is not possible; someone could get hurt.
