Jeho hlavnými protagonistami sú deti, rodiny, mladí športovci, či členovia firemných tímov. The upcoming Kosice Marathon is dedicated to former Belgium champion Aurele Vandenriessche. He came to Kosice in 1965 as two times Boston Marathon winner (1963, 1964) and European Championship 1962 (Belgrade) silver medal holder. Vandenriessche beated in hot weather British runners Bill Adcocks and Brian Kilby in Kosice. During the long history of the world oldest marathons (Boston since 1897, Kosice since 1924) there are only 2 runners who have won both of them. All the fast marathon courses must have couple of positive parameters. Besides very few direction changes or sharp turns it is of course the elevation profile. In Košice there is a course meeting the most challenging criteria. In Berlin where plenty of world records have been set up there are 21 direction changes on the course in the angle equal 90˚or even sharper. Consul general of Slovak republic in Hungary, Štefan Daňo has met with the president of the European parliament Martin Schulz. Štefan Daňo, president of Marathon Club Kosice and Charmian of Organizing Committee of the Kosice Peace Marathon handed over to Martin Schulz a representative publication MMM 1924 – 2014, „90 years in stories, facts and figures“, wich was published on occasion of 90 years from the first start of marathon in Kosice, the oldest marathon in Europe.
Marathon designers just finished new promotional booth which will be exposed in two weeks in London where Košice Marathon together with tourism cluster VisitKošice will present the marathon and City of Košice. Organizers will greet Ron Hill and focus their attention towards tens thousands runners who will come to ExCeL Exhibition Centre to pick up their bib numbers. Before trip to London, Košice Marathon will visit Poland during Cracovia Marathon which will take place on Sunday 19th of April. The aim of the visit is the same – to meet and invite runners to Košice.
Na svojom prvom stretnutí sa v širšej zostave zišiel 17. marca organizačný tím MMM 2015. Medzi prioritami sa v programovom koncepte objavili viaceré zmeny v športovo – technickom zabezpečení podujatia, dokončenie revitalizácie areálu Sochy maratónca a zelenú dostanú aj početné inovatívne prvky pre divákov i športovcov. Tím do svojich radov získal viaceré posily z radov skúsených športových organizátorov, atletických trénerov, či pedagógov. Odznelo i jednoznačné odhodlanie, pripraviť nadchádzajúci ročník Medzinárodného maratónu mieru s rovnakou vášňou a zanietením ako tomu bolo vždy doteraz.

Košiciam prichádza blahoželať aj Boston a Atény Predstavujeme ďalších významných hostí, ktorí prichádzajú do Košíc na pozvanie organizátorov jubilujúceho maratónu. JOANN E. FLAMINIO pracuje pre Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.), teda pre združenie, ktoré organizuje maratón v Bostone od roku 1993. Od roku 1996 je členkou rady guvernérov tejto inštitúcie a v januári 2011 sa stala jej 23. prezidentkou. Je potrebné zdôrazniť, že je prvou ženou v tejto pozícii v 126 ročnej histórii B.A.A. Nová knižná publikácia uzrela svetlo sveta Knižná publikácia 90 rokov v príbehoch, faktoch a číslach hovorí v nových pohľadoch o skutočnostiach, ktoré sú už z časti známe, ale i o faktoch, ktoré neboli v takejto podobe ešte nikdy publikované.
