For the tenth time now, alongside the marathon being run through the streets of the city, a duel among photographers is also taking place in the popular Snap the Marathon competition! Strong emotions, the stories of winners and falls, moments, genre photographs and “accidental shots” represent the range of faces, life and holiday atmosphere of the marathon on the streets of Košice. The contributions of the competition participants permanently capture both unique and common moments of the event, often in an untraditional way. Anyone who meets the basic requirements given in the competition rules can enter, whether a professional or beginning photographer or just someone with beginner’s luck.
Each year a selected professional jury makes a selection 20 finalist photographs and then decides on the absolute winner. The best photographs will again be found in marathon publications or at special photo exhibitions. The exclusive prizes for the winning photographers placing in the top three are donated by the competition co-organizer, the company FaxCopy Pro – Canon Pro Partner.
1st PRIZE: Canon EOS 1300D + EF-S 18-55 DC Silver
2nd PRIZE: Canon IXUS 285 HS
3rd PRIZE: Canon IXUS 185
The competition runs within the Slovak Republic from 7 October 2018 to 31 October 2018.
The deadline for registration and submitting of photographs for the competition is set from 7 October 2018 to 21 October 2018
Evaluation of the competition by the jury runs until 31 October 2018. Announcing of the winners of the main prizes will take place on the Web page of the KPM and also on the page of the co-organizer by the end of October 2018. Winners will be contacted by the organizer.
